What are the End of Life (Final Sale & End of Support) dates for my Avid products?

Overview:

Products reach the end of their Product Life Cycle for several reasons including market demands, technology innovation and development driving changes in the product, or they simply mature over time and are replaced by functionally richer technology. While this is an established part of the overall product life cycle, Avid recognizes that the End of Life process often prompt companies to review the way milestones impact the Avid products in their environment, and commits to assist customers on how to upgrade and migrate to alternative or new Avid products where applicable. Customers should also be aware that per standard policy, maintenance and support pricing may increase annually following Final Sale Date approaching the End of Support date to account for the higher cost of support for legacy products.

The matrix below provides current and planned Final Sale and End of Support Dates to assist in the migration of alternative Avid products.

Definition of Terms:

Final Sale Date is the last day a product is available for sale
End of Support is the date when all forms of service and technical support for a product cease
- End of Support Date is for the last sold units on the Final Sale Date
- Hardware-based products such as Avid NEXIS storage have a designed operational life of 5 years. After 5 years of operation, the storage system should be replaced.
- Support is offered for Avid NEXIS storage for up to 5 years of operation or 6 years since purchase.

The End of Support dates shown below are for the last sold unit on the Final Sale Date. Hardware products including Avid NEXIS should be replaced after 5 to 6 years of operation.
