Michael Anthony Brown, ACE is a three-time Emmy-winning documentary editor and producer working on celebrated projects including Netflix’s Losers, Amazon Prime’s Eat. Race. Win., and Showtime’s All Access.

Recently, Michael took to the field to join the Emmy-nominated editing team of FX’s series Welcome to Wrexham, the genre-bending sports documentary chronicling Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s purchase of Wrexham AFC, one of the oldest clubs in professional football. Michael and the team of editors' hard work was recognized by their peers with 2023 Emmy Nomination for 'Outstanding Picture Editing for an Unstructured Reality Program.'

Pushing the bounds of traditional sports editing, Michael crafted the pilot episode of Netflix’s Losers, an animated/live action hybrid docuseries which explores society’s perceptions of winning and losing through intimate profiles of professional athletes. The series went on to receive an Emmy nomination for Best Edited Sports Series in the 2020 Sports Emmys.

Much like Michael’s personal journey, which includes a lifetime love of traveling and music, Michael’s journey as an editor with 20+ years of experience is one of perseverance, curiosity, and exploration. He is a dedicated team player and collaborator and has proven himself an MVP in combining picture and sound in ways that elevate every project; and looks to incorporate his verité editing style and rhythm into scripted narrative in the future. On weekends you can find him in the mountains, hiking with his fiancé and their 2 dogs. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
